The role of governments in support of African arbitration – TheCable

As at May 2016, there were at least 72 Arbitration institutions in Africa. Most of these institutions are privately run. By implication, arbitration is driven more by the efforts of private persons than by the efforts of government. While that is not in itself wrong, there are success stories in government-supported arbitral institutions.
